Writing

Is it a bad sign (of arrogance and a complete lack of touch with reality) that when I go back and read some of my old stories I'm impressed by my own talents?

Jeez, I'm self satisfied.

Not arrogant or lacking reality. Good is good. Doesn't matter who wrote it.

I kind of do the same thing. I go back and look at systems that have been running for a couple of years untouched and go, "Wow, that's awesome. How the hell did I do that in the first place?"

I love that feeling. Don't have it often, but love it when it comes.

I read all 18 pages of the drabbles I've written for open_on_sunday - there are some good, some not so good, some awesome. I think my favourite is the Serenity drabble I did a couple of months ago. Mal dreaming about Buffy.

That's why you need a tech writer!

I knocked it out of myself by going back and reading some of my university essays. No wonder I can't get into a Master's program!

I think we're all like that. Some of its like, "Wow! I actually wrote that."

and others..

"Eeck! I actually wrote THAT?"
