I'm Home!

I just got home from Atlanta (okay, so I've been home for 10 hours watching TV), and I'm updating before I read anyone else's WriterCon recap.

The con was a blast. The panels were good, I learned a lot and came home inspired and ready to write, but the best was meeting so many new people. I started a list of people I need to friend, but I haven't gotten that far yet.

Some of the highlights
- talking to agilebrit the first day. She was practically the first person I didn't know at all that I had a conversation with at the con. And huge thanks to her for my no more hiding pin.
- meeting sunnyd_lite. She was one of the people I really wanted to meet, and she was the nicest, perkiest person ever.
- the emotion workshop. It was just amazing. anaross pointed out things I'd noticed, things that had made me cry and explained why it worked so we can (attempt) to recreate it in our own writing.
- the religion panel. It was the last thing I took in, and it was the perfect topper on a great weekend.
- my roomates! Meeting all of you was definitely the best part of the weekend. Never a dull moment with you folks. I hope you all got back to your families and friends safe and sound. Love y'all! (And I still don't have an accent - my mother said so.)

There were so many other great things that I just can't even think of them all. I'm sorry if I forgot to mention you by name (you were all awesome!), but my brain is still percolating with all the things that happened.

We ate in the car, and just barreled right through. We made really good time, too.

The picture is just my kitties sitting at the front door staring at me. They were very cute and demanding of love.

Sounds like a good time. What drabble did you end up using?

The Dana one: Somewhere Else. I didn't give out many cards, since I spent so much time just chatting, but I'm glad I had them for the ones I did give out.

I saw the pic of your new laptop - pretty.

(And I still don't have an accent - my mother said so.)

I could be wrong, but I think she may be just a teeny-tiny bit biased.

:o)

I dunno, I think her mom would tell her the truth, especially if she was developing a south-western accent.

However, those of us coming for snack/book/movie club this week, we have no mercy. We will sniff out the accent.

The hubby said that she's aquired a southern-canadian accent. How interesting is that!

It's that Huron Co. drawl coming out again.

Is that a new eyesthatslay icon?

No, I got it from one of the gals that responded to my OoS drabble.

The creater is [Unknown site tag] and I guess it's sharable with credit.

Okay, fine. The creator's name is 'synful_trixx'

All my roomies accused me of having a Canadian accent. I swear I don't say "aboot". I tried to tell them they had the accents, but I was outnumbered.

Oh course we've got accents - otherwise we wouldn't be able to hear yours. *g*

It was great to room with you. Your dry wit, pools of knowledge and low key way of soaking everything in!

Now you admit it!

I'm totally adding your description of me to my profile - the most flattering thing anyone has ever said about me.

*smooches*

*smooches back*

I'm pleased!
