Clearly, waking up at 4 am to put a turkey in the smoker, and then spending all day prepping the rest of the food, and then the evening entertaining... leads to interesting zombie dreams.

It wasn't a dream I was living, but more like a movie. And man, was it an awesome movie.

It all took place in a small town. There was a lovely establishing shot of driving through town, stopping to talk to a few people so you can see everyone knows everyone else. A lot like the beginning of Slither, actually. Eventually, we ended up just on the outskirts of town, with a group of boys and dads playing baseball. A car drove by and stopped to say hello. They were on their way to the doctor, since one of the passengers wasn't feeling well. As they spoke, the pain peaked and... zombie. She attacked a number of the folks playing baseball, but some escaped back to town, chased by zombies, of course.

And then it became more Dawn of the Dead. No one really escaped, a mere touch of the oozing sores was all it took to become zombiefied. It was just lots of running and fighting and great effects as they transformed into zombies and very little dialogue.

Then I had a 7 am conference call. I went back to bed at about 7:40 am (about an hour later), and was right back in the dream.

Someone had escaped from tiny town and made it to nearby tinier town to tell them what was going on and then to become a zombie. Tinier town was totally ready for the zombie apocalypse. One guy headed out with a flamethrower to protect the town (weirdly, he opened the door and was right in tiny town, flaming down zombies instantly). The guy who warned tinier town was put down, but not before he infected someone, who 'knew the rules' (clearly, zombies weren't new in tinier town), but allowed her son to grab her hand before she was killed and the dad picked up the son, so they all had to be killed (they did it like a 'doh' moment - kind of funny, considering a family was about to die) and they were taken off-screen and put down to prevent more zombies.

The last scene was this tiny girl, climbing up into the attic and hiding away from the flamethrowers in tiny town. You just know it was setting up for the sequel.

My brain is fun!

Damn it... why are OTHER people getting Zombie dreams?! I'm writing Zombie Apocalypse for NaNo (I know, I know, I said something else back a couple months ago, but now I've decided for 100%... Zombies... lol) and I would love some nice Zombie dreams!

And wow does that sound bizarre... lol...

As I sat down to watch Glee last night, I realized that Puck was in my dream as well. I seem to remember him being really hot. :)

Yeah, I tend to dream in full colour and surround sound, like a movie. And the ones I remember are astonishingly complex. I love that I can slide back into the same dream after waking up too. Though that kind of sucks for nightmares.

Indeed. I really want to see a movie with a creepy child zombie hiding in the attic now.
