Just watched the first three episodes of Sherlock (that's all that is on NetFlix). Son. Of. A. Bitch. No wonder it's been all over my flist for the past year.

I'm watching what is literally the worst movie ever. And I've watched Space.

It's called Meteor, and absolutely every possible plot line in every movie that ever exists is represented.

We've got the dirty cop out for revenge, and the good cop trying to protect his daughter and father.

We've got the old sherrif (also the father needing protection) dealing with racist hotheads who think he's passed his prime and are trying to run the town.

We've got the young family who were the first affected by the meteors when their house burned down, and Mom's the local doctor who now has to work on her son and her son's bully since his school bus was hit. (And who send their kid to school the day their house burns down?)

There's the scientist who fired the genius who can actually track the meteors and is now trying to figure out how to save the world

The genius himself was trying to get the info to LA from Mexico and got hit by a car, and his young and pretty assistant now has to drive through Mexico and try to cross the closed border so she can get the information to the scientist.

There's the demanding military officer who is trying to shoot down the meteors and isn't thinking about the big comet coming after.

We've got the college kids on their way to the lake (daughter of the good cop) who have been caught up in the sweep trying to get people into safe places and the boyfriend showing his true colours (what colour is selfish?).

It's got everything. It's such a mess I can't look away, like a train crash.

I haven't been watching TV as much as I used to. And then enigmaticblues mentioned Leverage, and we have Netflix...

In the past week I've watched 19 episodes of Leverage and a season and half of Community. I started a Community fanfic, and oh, the Leverage bunnies.

I think I'm back into TV.

And how insane has my flist gone over the Firefly callout at the end of Castle?

There was clapping and giggling like a tiny girl on my sofa. :D

My boss just asked me if I remembered a British TV series, frequently compared to Buffy.

It wasn't on the BBC, it was on the other network (LOL). Only ran for 2 seasons. The main character finds out she's descended from a witch, and dies and comes back as a ghost. She mentioned something about a fallen angel?

Anybody recognize it? Or can you give me any ideas for google search terms?

I forgot to vent my frustration (venting prevents explosion...) about taping SPN, and not getting a chance to watch it until Saturday night... only to discover that freaking SUN TV is made of fail and froze or something.

Someone remind me to download it when I get home. Or I really will explode.

Hey all, I've got a LJ newbie on my flist and she's specifically looking for Supernatural communities/discussion groups. Not fic so much as show meta, rumours, casting spoilers, stuff like that. It doesn't have to be LJ - so far her main source is the TWoP forums, and there's so much crap to sift through on there....

She hasn't had much luck searching herself, being so new. Not to mention that searching for Supernatural tends to lead in directions other than the TV show.

I figured if anyone would have advice, it'd be all y'all.

So say hello to [livejournal.com profile] mrs_blackstone and help a sister out. :)

1.) Do you like this character?
I like him, but I don't love him. I want to love him. He is attractive, intelligent, sensitive, loyal, open to new ideas but also secure in his own opinions and knowledge. He also has a very attractive dark streak. :)

I feel like we'd be good friends, but I couldn't fight with him - he'd take it too personally.

2.) What name(s) do you call this character?
Sam out loud, but Sammy in my head.

3.) What image / color do you associate with character?
Image - Jess pinned to the ceiling, terrified and bleeding.
Colour - Red for blood and for passion. Deep blue for his sorrow and grief.

4.) What blood type do you think this character is?
Major assumptions here, but AB Negative. It represents that he has something from each parent, and that he has a difficult ans negative outlook on life.

5.) From all of the titles that feature this character, what other character do you think makes a good pairing with this character?
Sam is not ready for romance, so we'll stick with "bromance". He is perfectly matched to his brother, Dean. Sam makes Dean face the hard facts, makes him treat things a little more seriously, while Dean makes Sam lighten up, realize that even when there's no hope, there's always a bar and a hot chick.

6.) What would you want to say to this character?
Think before you trust others, but always trust yourself. And for God's sake, lighten up.

7.) What do you want to do with this character?
I love the Sam and Dean's interactions, and I'd love to have a chance to play with that myself, although it's done so well on the show already. I've only gotten halfway through season 3, so I'm interested in playing with how they each deal without the other. And I love hurt/comfort fics, so I want to play in that puddle as well.
