I took the PATH for the first time today. The humidity was killing me and the PATH is air conditioned - what's not to love.
First, on my way through the Eaton's Centre, I saw a young mother with two kids. The kids weren't very far apart in age; at first I thought they were twins, but one was a lot less talky than the other, so I'm guessing Irish twins, age 2 and 3ish.
Anyway, the kids headed over to look at one of the fountains, Mom calls them back, they come running. It was so sweet, I had to smile. Then I cracked up because one of the boys trips and falls in front of the other boy, tripping him. The halls echoed with the sound of unison crying. Mom just rolled her eyes and picked them up.
I figured out the PATH all the way to the corner of Richmond and Yonge, so I only had 2 blocks left. As soon as I get out of the PATH, who should I see walking toward me but Dmitri Dotsenko, one of my favourite co-workers from Angoss. I haven't seen him in a year, and then we bump into each other within three weeks of me working in Toronto again.
This bodes for a good day.
