LotR a thon
Mar. 14th, 2005 03:36 pmMy ass may never be the same.
We arrived at the house at 10:30, left around 11:30. We did stop to eat occasionally, and chatted a bit, but still - that's a lot of movie.
I totally want to do it again! I want to watch them with the commentary on (I loved doing that with my Buffy DVDs), and watch all the appendixes. I'm going to wait a while though - I have to read the books again. With the extended edition and watching them back to back, I found a lot of stuff I'd missed first time around, and I want to read the books to see what else I missed/forgot.
The extended editions are fun, but I can see why they cut the scenes they did. A lot of it is humour, which while it makes it easier for the non-hard core to sit through the movies, doesn't really fit with the overall mood and themes. But hee, Gimli in the Dimwalt was funny!
Also this weekend - ate out a lot. Friday, supper with V and S in Listowel. Saturday, LotR. Sunday, dim sum at King Tin with D and our TKD instructor and supper at Delainey's for my b-day. I'm still full.
