Nano Update
Sep. 28th, 2005 09:09 pmWell, everyone (except the woo) seems to be voting for original. Thanks guys. Did you not get the hint that original is much harder?
Not only is writing original fic harder, so is coming up with an idea in the first place. I've been wracking my brain, trying to come up with a premise. Not even a whole plot, just a premise.
Finally today on the walk from work to the bus, I had an idea. In fact I had two ideas. Once again, I'm putting it to my friends list - which one should I work on for Nano.
Whichever premise you choose, I'll spend October working up character backgrounds and a few plot points - just to make sure I have someplace to start, come November.
Idea 1 - The Band
A group of young people form a rock band. They are searching for fame, but what they find is far more valuable.
Obviously, this is a Young Adult concept. It follows a group of high school students as they discover themselves through music and friendship.
Idea 2 - The Psychic
A young woman has found success running her own business as a psychic. But why can't her gifts find love for herself?
This is going to be a paranormal romance. The twist is that she falls in love with a man in her dreams, only to realize that he's been dead for 5 years and is haunting her.
So, what do you think?
