Okay, that was surreal

garnigalI was sitting watching TV and eating my lunch about 10 minutes ago when Trippy, sitting in the hallway, suddenly freaked out. He dashed from the hall across the living room, on top of the piano bench and threw himself at the window screen. No big, usually. Today the screen popped out, and Trippy flew out the window, to the grass 3 feet below, and took off running for the hills. As I watched him run away in stunned disbelief, I saw a tiny flash of orange - I think he was chasing a kitten. By the time I got outside to look for him, he had come back to the back gate and was waiting for me to open it and let him back in. Then, of course, he changed his mind and wandered away, waving his incredibly puffy tail behind him. I collected him, fixed the screen, and tossed him in the house so I could look for the alleged kitten.
No sign of any kitten or small orange cat - I think Trippy ate it.
