Well, now that I've got A's quilt pieced, bound and quilted (all I have left to do is the binding), and I have to wait to paint E's room until we can open her window (ie- temp 10 degrees or better, consistently), I have very few excuses yet. Except that I'm reading way too many good female authors and feel very incompetent lately.
Overall, I like the second one better. I don't know where you're going with the first one, but it hasn't grabbed me at all. I can read about her on her live journal, if she turns out to be interesting, she sounds too normal.
My main editing intention is to tighten the flow of the second piece, just FYI. I'll print out yours, edit and bring back to BC next Thursday.
