Hey, thanks for reading. It's very nice to hear that the lack of background didn't hamper you. I think that's one of the big dangers of fanfic - I forget that not everyone knows the backstory, so when I go to write something original, I forget to create the emotional resonance that will make the reader care.
Glad you liked the ending. I kind of felt it was a cop-out, I mean, nothing really happens in the story. Plot is my downfall. I'd sooner spend pages and pages talking about how everyone feels. :)
