The oddest things trigger drabbles. For instance, did you know a square has a larger area than any other quadrilateral with the same perimeter? (Wikipedia)
The Watcher was terribly organized. He’d plotted and planned her route, ensuring that she checked every suspicious spot once a week - every cemetery, forest and dell in the county, four a night, an hour each.
He found her at dawn. It appeared she’d been leaving the Catholic cemetery, quiet square of land outside of town. He’d trained her well; he assumed she’d been surprised and outnumbered.
Examining his maps the next week, he finally saw the flaw in his plan. He’d wonder ever after if his lack of consideration to area as well as perimeter had left her vulnerable.
