Book Club

Last night was Book Club. Just a note - February is too short a month. No one finished the book. Most people thought they still had a week, that the 28th was a Tuesday. Nope. Most of us finished the first part of Gulliver's Travels (A Voyage to Lilliput), but J. hadn't even got the book yet.

We've been laughing since this experiment began that Book Club should really be called Snack Club (D. calls it that regularly, correcting me when I try to call in Book Club). Last night, the name changed again - Couples Club!

All the girls ended up bringing thier significant others; four couples, including D. and I. It was really nice - I didn't realize I knew that many couple-type people. We did discuss the book (briefly) but then we got distracted because the boys found fun stuff on the interwebnet, so we watched Angry Boy for a while.

Anyway, good night last night. T., we missed you, hope your night went okay even without us, and the next book is The DaVinci Code. My mom will probably want to join us for that, so that should be interesting - we may actually talk about the book!

ha!

I have it AND have already read it!

We'll see wether or not baby #2 is jiggy with the idea of an end of March road trip (as nursing is not conducive to leaving children 1hr drive away).

So you don't know that many couples, hm? Any cute (straight), not too social inept single guys? (looks hopeful)

So you WANT a guy who isn't too social and inept? That shouldn't be hard.

*smack*. "not too socially inept"...meaning someone somewhat social. And ept...whatever 'ept' means. ;-P
(that's what I get for posting quickly)

I actually do know a couple - I'm saving them for myself when I get sick of D!

Derek has some old co workers - the Loeppky's. They are 4 brothers (one's married and off the market), all into computers, cars, and fairly geeky stuff, but they also read a lot, went to the Arts highschool in K-W, did drama and stuff and are very personable.

How do you feel about Mennonites?
