My brother and his wife welcomed Ainsley Christina into the world this morning at 10:30!

Thanks. I realized after I posted that it wasn't clear that this is my brother and sister-in-law's first baby, and the first grandchild on my side of the family. My two nephews are on actually Derek's side of the family.

Needless to say, there's a lot of excitement up home right now. :)

She's freaking adorable. She fits perfectly along my forearm from elbow to fingertips and her fingernails are so tiny - the pinky is the size of a pencil lead! And she's not squashy - no Winston Churchill face!

I realized afterwards that I didn't word the post very well - it's actually Adam and Cheryl's first. My two nephews are my boyfriend's brother's kids, so this is the first that I'm related to.

And my parents' first grandchild, so there is great rejoicing in Wingham. :)

It's funny how many people have been saying it's a good name. It's got that combination of modern and traditional that's hard to beat. Althought she's apparently Ainsley Kristina with a K. I was kind of liking the ACG initials - she could have been a rock song with only three chords!
