Had an excellent long weekend.

SIL's b-day was on Saturday so we went to Toronto to have dinner with them and a bunch of their friends. We'd watched Glee on the previous Wednesday, and D had talked to one of the Toronto people about it and the decision was made that we needed to go to Karaoke.

Karaoke is different in Koreatown. :) We had a room, instead of a bar filled with people we didn't know. There was no waiting, and we sang a lot of cheesy songs. My faves were Lori rocking the Copacabana, Bon Jovi (doesn't matter what song, they are all good), and Aqua's Barbie Girl.

Sunday we were having a bunch of people over for BBQ, so we spent some time cleaning. And we took a time out to let the cats play in the backyard one at a time. And I misjudged how stressed AJ was outside. And he bit me. And I could see my veins. And it is all read and swollen. And tomorrow I think I'd better go to the doctor and get antibiotics. /angling for sympathy

The BBQ was good though.

Yikes! Everything sounded good until the bite. Hope that gets taken care of without incident.

Cat bite = 10 days of antibiotics and a tetanus shot.

Could be worse. Can't think of how, off hand, but it could be.

Grrr. Shots are not pleasant, but at least they are momentary. Fingers crossed for an infection-free future!

Did you get to see the doctor? My cat has bitten or scratched me enough times over the years, not often, only when she's frightened, and never had to see a doctor about it. Although hubby had to get some shots when she shredded his arm by accident. He banged on the window to chase away a stray, not realising she was sitting beneath it and she sprang into the air in fright and attacked his arm. :0(

Other than your cat bite you sound like you had a lot of fun over the weekend.

Yeah, I did go to the doctor. Apparently, 80% of cat bites get infected, so it's a good idea, no matter how well you clean it.

It's still sore and red, but hopefully I'm on the mend.

Ow. AJ! We do not bite the hand that feeds us!

Glad the BBQ went well, though. Some time when I'm free of the massive surge of ResNet support, I shall have to come be social at you.

After he bit the hand that feeds him, the foot that feeds him kicked him in the ass.

BBQ was good. So much food.

Oh, no! *pets you gently* I'm sorry you were bitten. That sucks.

But it sounds as though the rest of the weekend was a success, so yay!

I'll live. And I've learned what not to do with a stressed kitty.

The rest of the weekend totally made up for it.

Yikes! Yes, go to the doctor. You stand too much chance of infection.

It's looking much better today, and much less sore. I think my other arm where they gave me the tetanus shot hurts more!
