You know how when you blow your nose really hard, you can feel the pressure on the back of your eyes? Well, apparently, your orbital bones can separate, leaving a gap. And if you blow your nose hard when you have this gap (especially if you use the 'farmer blow' technique of covering one nostril and getting as much distance from the other as possible), instead of coming out your nose - mucus will spray out your tear duct and hit the inside of your sunglasses. Scaring the hell out of you, 'cause you think your eye just exploded. My brother has now learned to 1) blow his nose gently and 2) keep his eyes closed.

Told you it was gross.
