My great-aunt Edith passed away today. She was in her 90's - 95ish? She was a career woman in an era when there weren't very many women in careers. She was the last of my grandfather's siblings, the last keeper of the family knowledge (now passed down to me), and a generous and wonderful aunt that all her nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews all adored.

I'm so sorry that you lost your great aunt. It sounds like she had a wonderful, long life. I'm sure you will all miss her.

She'll definitely be missed. Poor woman - the different families used to fight over who got her for major holidays. :)
