Oh, yeah. What If ficathon, due on the 26th, which is also Book Club. Entry for ficathon not written; started, but no where near done.

Need to clean, read the book for Book Club (Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy), do my taxes, work on my website (because it's "under construction", and has been "under construction" for oh, 6 years or so?), write for many ficathons (Death By is coming up too), write drabble for married, write other stuff I haven't worked on in ummm, long time, spend time with the SO (aww, man, do I have to?), sign up for creative writing class for the summer, and probably a million other things I can't think of right now.

Really should get my act together. *sigh* Not good at that.

I need help with that too. Got dishes to do, floor to wet vaccuum (its spring and time to get rid of accumulated winter dirt), mod to edit, fic to write, cookies to sell, credit split info to get, cookie money deposit to make, wardrobe to go through and prune, etc., etc. Then there's work: reports to finish, submits to submit, old cases to close, mail to go through, cheques to allocate, auths to file, etc., etc. I look at the list and just want to crawl in a corner and sleep until it magically does itself. Except it never does.
Starting the weekend, I'm going to try the '15 minute at a time' game. Set the timer, and do one task (just one!) - vaccuum, edit, dishes, clothes, whatever - for fifteen minutes. Timer goes off, I stop and start the next thing and do it for fifteen minutes. Obviously not all my tasks can be done like that (going to the bank, for example), but the cleaning ones and 'creative' ones can. Hopefully that will help me keep my focus and prevent the 'completely overwhelmed' feeling I have at the moment.
Its worked before but I haven't been consistent. Maybe we can both try it this weekend and post how much we got done at the end of it? See how well it worked plus have someone to spur us on?

sounds like a good idea. I'll make a list tonight of this things I can do in 15 minute increments.

Timer cleaning - do you do flylady?

I don't 'do' flylady. I'm _attempting_ to do flylady. :) That's where the idea is coming from. My sink is disgraceful. ;)

I tried flylady briefly, but got sick of the frequent emails. :) Some of their suggestions just didn't work for me - shoes in the house is so wrong.

I have HHGTTG on mp3, read by Adams. I'm tempted to listen to it, but I keep resisting. I'm saving it for the Caravan to Saskatoon in June.

Oh, that would be cool. I wonder if Adams got as much enjoyment recording it as we've gotten reading it? it would really suck to dislike your own work!
