I keep telling myself it's an opportunity to unite the left. We had a unite the right a few years ago, and it's causing us left-leaning folks some trouble with vote splitting.

I've also joined a group that is working towards changing our election system to proportional representation instead of first past the post - that would equalize things more.

I've joined a group that is advocating for an update to our voting system to make it more fair for a multiple party system, so hopefully that will make me feel like I'm contributing.
