Everything happening all at once...

Grandma passed away at 3:30 this morning. Visitation and funeral are Thursday and Friday, respectively. Mom wants me to say a few words, which I'm having a very hard time putting together. I warned my brother 'it could be short'. At this point it could be 'she was awesome, the end.'

And then the wedding happens a week after that.

No, I'm not stressed out, why do you ask?

Thank you. Derek's been reminding me of stories I've told about grandma - they are all going to hear how hard she laughed when she had to rescue me from her killer turkeys.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Grandmas are so special.

Perhaps you could say that in your speech. Having had to do a eulogy for my Mum, I think saying how much she was loved, how she will be missed and tell a funny story about her, something that will make you and your family smile is one way of handling it.

That's what my hubby did for his brother's funeral a couple of months ago.
