So I got married a week ago...
Nov. 20th, 2011 06:40 pmand Eza keeps reminding me she hasn't seen any pictures. I don't have many - these are just ones I grabbed from Facebook. There will be more once the photographer gets back to us and a couple of friends who are damn good photographers will hopefully get stuff to me too.
But for now...

Date: 2011-11-21 12:53 am (UTC)The headpiece is actually a headband. Instead of putting it flat to my head they put it into the bouffant at the back so it looked more upright. I borrowed it from my sister in law - she has excellent taste. She's the tall blond with my side of the family.

Date: 2011-11-21 01:06 am (UTC)What kind of cake did you have? It looked really pretty. You'll notice I focus on cake and not dress....

Date: 2011-11-21 03:19 pm (UTC)Deena uses as many natural ingredients as possible. The bottom layer was red velvet - no food colouring, just the natural reaction of vinegar and baking soda. The middle layer was raspberry, which included raspberries from her own garden, and the top layer was lemon, with a lemon curd made from real squeezed lemons and zest.
We took her some pictures of what we wanted - 3 layers, black and white, with hits of red, and some asian flair and a double happiness. She used the pattern of our wedding invite (there was a band at the bottom) to do the scrolling above the black ribbon, and instead of piping it she printed it on edible paper. I had taken one up that had cherry blossoms, and she used that as her inspiration. The branch was modelling chocolate, as was the double happiness - both moulded by hand. And it was tasty, which was the important thing. :)

Date: 2011-11-21 03:12 pm (UTC)It was a great day. I was okay until I started opening cards yesterday, and found one from grandma and grandpa that my aunt had written on their behalf. I just cried and handed it to Derek. :)
