Laid off today

Not unexpectedly, I got laid off today. They are calling it a temporary lay off, hopefully no longer than 2-3 months. Because it's temporary, I can maintain my benefits through the university. My last day is June 30.

Not happy about it, but I can apply for EI, spend time with VV and my parents and we'll get through.

We always do.

Bummer. I really hope that it is temporary, or you can find something even better.

I don't know whether to hope for something new (I'd be almost guaranteed more money) or hope to get called back in the fall (the vacation time and benefits are pretty sweet at the university).

Either way, I'll do my best to enjoy my summer.

That really sucks. But at least it's only temporary, assuming that's actually the truth (I hope it is).
