So frustrated...must bite cat...except cat bites back

I've tried everything I can think of to find a beta reader for my Buffy stories. I'm sure there are obvious locations I've overlooked, but I've tried emailing authors I'm really impressed with to see if they can suggest anyone, I've tried posting to the betareading community in LJ, I've even tried hassling my non-Buffy addicted friends (you know who you are) and family, and nothing works.

I haven't posted anything in months because I'm worried that my existing WIP is not true to the characters and that my unposted but planned WIP is nothing but a Mary Sue fic (based around a non-canon, one-dimensional character), and, damn it, I'm better than that (if I'm not, it's no damn wonder I have no job).

Somebody Help!

BTW, by the time I finished this post, Windows Media Player had moved on to Yellow Submarine. Much better.

What's wrong with Duran Duran? Any band that takes its name from a cheesy 1960s sci-fi film can't be all bad, can it?
