Back from vacation

I intended to post a "hi! so good to be home, missed you all" message when I got back from Vermont, but I got very, very tired.

Very tired.

The drive home on Friday night was a bit dicey with the storm in the GTA, but we got almost to the 'shwa before it started so we couldn't complain too much. The trip itself was wonderful - decent skiing, (mostly) great company and very restufl. Although my knees are killing me. I learned I'm a much better skier than I thought I was and my ski boots aren't nearly as painful as they used to be, though I still want a new pair. I also learned that -22 degrees Celcius (-30 with the windchill) is really freaking cold.

Finally, Vermont is pretty and we went to the Ben and Jerry's factory. Yay! maes has some pictures up at his LJ, but I'm too lazy to link.

Derek is a very good driver, so even the storm didn't bother us too badly. Although reading about the 500 accidents on the 401 the next day kind of put it in perspective...

Thanks. It was wonderful to sleep in my own bed again. Of course, I know I'll be jonesing for another trip soon - good thing we've already got the Costa Rica trip booked for March!

Anytime except late August is good with me. I think my soon-to-be sister-in-law might get a little wound up if I missed the wedding. Heck, my brother might be cheesed off too!

Thanks! I don't know if my knees will ever forgive me, after the 5 days of skiing, but I can live without knees. Right?
