Okay, so it's December and National Novel Writing Month is over. How did I do? I wrote about 15000 words. I started weak and finished weaker. On the plus side, I tried at least, and I met some new people. Hi new people! Also on the plus, I really like the story I was working on and will finish it. It's different from what I'd been writing; fantasy versus fanfiction or "literary fiction" (for class). Considering I totally ripped it off from Mercedes Lackey and JK Rowling, it's much more original than I expected. It needs a lot of editing, and will need more when I finally finish the story aspect, but over all, I'm pretty pleased with the Nano experience.
Today, the plan is to finish writing, edit, proofing, etc., then write a sequel for next year's Nano. I've learned a few things about how I work (I've worked out some good ideas for outlining - things that seem to work for me). Anyway, thanks to everyone who listened to me talk about it all month, who helped me procrastinate, who kept me from procrastinating, etc. If you want to read the 5 chapters you helped me create, you are more than welcome. You know I love showing off my work!
