I edited this. It isn't a hundred words any more, but I like the symmetry much better than the 100 word version.

Dana

She was from Kyoto.
She was from Lima.
She was from Houston.
She was from Hamburg.
She was from Nairobi.

They were from everywhere.

She was an only child.
She was the eldest of nine.
She was a twin.
She was adopted.
She was an orphan.

They were sisters.

She was fifteen.
She was twelve.
She was eighteen.
She was twenty-one.
She was only seven.

They fought. (They lost.) They ran. (They lost.)

They bled.

They died.

And every night, in the shattered mind of a lost child, they lived again. They blended into one another, merged into her. Mixed her up.

She was Dana. She was from Los Angeles. Her family had been murdered. She’d been taken.

She was a Slayer.

She was them.

This was just fantastic. Lyrical and right on the money as it concerns Dana and the Slayers.

Thank you! I'm flattered by the description of it as lyrical.

Hugs!
