Mother's Day

I went up to my parents farm for Mother's Day. My brother took Mom and I out for lunch - he happened to be in from the field when Mom called his place - then Mom and I went for a hike to the bush. The trilliums were out, and we decided to play with our cameras.

Some of the pics are a little blurry, but it's good practice and it'll give me lots of photos to work with for my Photoshop course that starts next week.

Thanks. I love taking pictures up home, because it's beautiful (especially at this time of year) so other people are interested, but I'll always be able to recognize the location, even if it's just a bunch of nice trees and river.

Thanks. We haven't made syrup since my brother was in highschool, but Grandpa would make litres upon litres when I was little. There are a lot of pictures of me at one or two out in the bush with Gramps.

I was pretty happy with those - the blurriest ones got deleted. I'm still getting used to the new camera, but it is getting better.

I think it's something to do with how much light they get, but there are pale purple and pink trilliums all the way to those dark red ones.

Thanks. I just got it cut a few weeks ago and I'm still getting used to it. I had it straightened once last year and really liked the look, and now that it's short I can do it myself with much less bitching.

I'll tell Mom you complimented her. I just keep looking at her and thinking "good genes, good genes".

Yeah, I didn't even notice that your hair was shorter. Unless it changes around your face, I wont notice anything :-/

Yeah, chopped about 5 inches off kind of spur of the moment. It was dead and annoying and now it's all flippy.

Mom said it was older. Then she started backtracking - "I mean mature, no, you look young, really. It's just modern that's what I meant!" She hadn't seen it since Sunday was the first time I'd seen them since they got back from Greece.
