One more step on the road to WriterCon

I booked my flights. I decided that once I got my (small, but enough) tax refund, I'd book my flight and pay off my credit card with the refund. It was a tiny bit more than when I'd originally looked, and it wasn't non-stop, but it's done.
I did have a little drama about it all. I decided to fly out of Buffalo since it's so much cheaper, and we looked around and found a shuttle from Burlington to the Buffalo airport, so I don't even have to drive or park. So after I booked my flight, I went to book the shuttle. There are 4 scheduled trips per day between the two locations, and the last trip home was 3 hours before my flight landed.
D'oh.
So I panicked briefly, then decided I could drive if I had to but first I'd try and shift flights. Turns out that within the first 24 hours you can cancel for only $7 - totally worth it. It means I'm leaving Minneapolis much earlier on Monday, but to save myself the drive, I'm more than willing to get up at ungodly o'clock.
I can't wait to see all y'all!

Date: 2009-04-07 03:36 am (UTC)The long answer is that I've got a third interview on Wednesday for a position as "knoweledge management specialist" with Agfa in Waterloo. I'm pretty hopeful about it (by the third interview, I hope they are close to a decision). There's also a job at RIM that I actually want more, but if Agfa comes through with an offer first, I don't know if I'll be able to wait to compare offers.

Date: 2009-04-07 02:36 pm (UTC)Waterloo's in Canada?
I had my first interview last week. If I passed that one they'll schedule another in a week or so. I haven't heard back yet.

Date: 2009-04-07 11:20 pm (UTC)Waterloo is in Canada. It's about 30 minutes away from my place in Guelph, and is considered Canada's high-tech hub; 'Silicon Valley North' as it were.
I hope you hear back soon from your interview. You would be such a good addition to any company.
